Let's see a show of hands of those of you who have a spinning reel? Yeah, that's what I thought! Most of us do. It seems we can't have too many spinning reels around. I have spinning reels for Crappie, Bream, Bass, Speckled Trout and Offshore. Spinning reels are reliable and long lasting and easy to use. They're a great step up from Spincast Reels and not as sensative as a baitcasting reel or casting reel.
My Dad bought me my first Spinning Reel, a Quantum, when I was in the 8th Grade. It was an Ultra Light rig that I used for White Bass, Crappie and Pond fishing for Black Bass. That spinning reel went through 5 rods before someone stole it from me.
